Leonard Cohen
was born in Montreal on September 21, 1934 and died in Los Angeles on November 7, 2016 at age 82. He first gained recognition for his poetry in the 1950s, and for two novels in the 1960s, before emerging as one of our greatest songwriters.

Hank was just 29 years old when he died on January 1, 1953, but his contributions to the history of music are immense.
